Lawrence W. Lepard, Managing Partner

Mr. Lepard has spent his entire 27 year career as an investor, principally focusing on venture capital opportunities. Prior to co-founding EMA, Mr. Lepard spent 13 years at Geocapital Partners, in Fort Lee, NJ. There he was one of two Managing General Partners and was responsible for several venture capital funds. Prior to Geocapital, Mr. Lepard spent 7 years at Summit Partners in Boston and California, where he was a General Partner in Summit I and Summit II.
Mr. Lepard received his BA in Economics from Colgate University, and he received an MBA with Academic
Distinction from Harvard Business School.
Richard P. Kosowsky, Managing Partner

Mr. Kosowsky brings over 20 years of successful management, technology and investment experience.
Prior to co-founding EMA, as an early employee at QUALCOMM, Mr. Kosowsky led several technology
development efforts and later returned to head wireless data initiatives and strategy.
As founder of Great Point Associates, he has invested and provided interim executive management to
dozens of early stage technology companies including Four11.com (acquired by Yahoo).
Mr. Kosowsky is an active mentor of early stage companies as a member of MIT’s Venture Mentoring Service.
Mr. Kosowsky holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
and an MBA with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School.
Giang Lam, Manager - Vietnam

Mr. Lam is a Vietnamese-American entrepreneur and investor with over
12 years of experience in engineering, operations, and management.
Most recently, Mr. Lam was co-founder and CTO of Cambridge Energy Solutions, the market leader in
LMP tools for financial players in the deregulated electricity market.
Prior to CES Mr. Lam co-founded two successful venture-backed technology companies:
Viable Technologies and JungleSoft. Mr. Lam is currently a member of the Launchpad Venture Group and
in the past has actively supported the Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center.
Mr. Lam received a BS in mechanical engineering from MIT and a MS in mechanical engineering from the
University of Maryland at College Park.
David Simon, Director of Research

Mr. Simon is responsible for heading up our research efforts, currently precious metal miners and resource-based investment opportunities.
Prior to joining EMA in 2006, Mr. Simon worked as a journalist in Hungary covering the domestic economy and
politics. He also worked as a communications advisor for the Hungarian government during the country’s referendum on
accession to the European Union.
Mr. Simon holds a BA in Economics and Asian Studies from Colgate University.
He also attended Peking University and the Budapest University of Economic Sciences.
Max Morgunov, Director of Marketing

Mr. Morgunov is focused on furthering the marketing and business development efforts at EMA.
Prior to joining EMA, Mr. Morgunov was employed in an operations capacity at SAC Capital Advisors, LLC
in Stamford, CT, where he supported the fund’s international derivatives trading business.
Mr. Morgunov also founded and ran the Colgate University Finance Club, now an active organization.
Mr. Morgunov holds a BA in Philosophy from Colgate University, and is a CFA Level III candidate.
